Las Tintoreras is not to be missed! It certainly rates in the top 5 experiences we had on our trip to South America. Though we usually site-see independently, my husband and I took a guided tour here and it was well worth it. Our excellent guide, Manuel, showed us just where to snorkel. With his help, we were able to play with a group of sea lions and swim around with sea turtles. I have never had such a great snorkeling experience. The tour also included a very interesting and informative walk around a lava island with Marine Iguanas, Boobies, Penguins, and a great view of a canal with dozens of White-Tip Reef Sharks.
